I started out building websites and apps at a web company and an ad agency in Baltimore, doing UI design and front-end development.
Then I spent about ten years leading UX design at Mendix, a software company. My whole job was watching how real people use tools: where they get confused, where they work around the system, and where they just give up.
Turns out small businesses hit the same walls, just with fewer people to catch what slips. So in 2025 I started Hite Labs to bring that thinking to owners who don't have an IT department.
